emerging from the suburban wastelands of Whitby, ON, separator is a spellbinding young indie band to watch. On their new self-titled, self-produced EP, they draw on alternative rock, indie pop, folk, disco, and experimental music to craft a voice that's distinct, memorable, and noisy.

the five members met as teenagers at their school board-run arts camp, and began cutting their teeth as a band in the Oshawa punk scene in the post-pandemic summer of 2022. each member came from a unique musical background, whether playing in Durham punk bands, participating in the Queen's indie community, studying jazz and sound design in university, or simply spending lifetimes immersed in music.

sharing bills with the likes of Chastity, NERiMA, Irresponsible Purchase, Days on Parade, and Feura, separator has been steadily growing their audience in venues across Ontario, and online presence across the country, with no intention of slowing down.
